Each week, you'll receive two practical, bite-sized tips. One to help you get more out of Microsoft 365, and one to strengthen your online security. Each tip comes in a short, easy-to-follow video, carefully selected by the Endsight team to help you work more efficiently and stay protected.

We often include a bonus tip too. These extras might feature AI tips, clips from recent webinars, or leadership advice from our Founder and CEO.

Tip of the Week! Excel formulas, privacy tools, and Meta Muse

15 October, 2026

Table of Contents

Monthly Cybersecurity Fundamentals Training
  • New Excel formulas like FLATTEN and UNIQUE turn crowded cells into filterable lists
  • Why a privacy expert at Proton starts with hardware choices rather than software
  • How Meta Muse connects to your inbox and calendar and acts on your behalf

Microsoft

Excel is rolling out the ability to hold multiple items inside a single cell. If you have ever tried to filter a column where one cell contains three names separated by commas, you already know why that matters. Chris Menard demos the new list feature, then shows the new FLATTEN function working alongside UNIQUE, SORT, and COUNTIF to turn that stacked data into something you can actually filter and count. It is in the beta channel for now.

Cybersecurity

Most cybersecurity conversations start with software, the tool you install, the setting you switch on. This one does not. A privacy expert at Proton walks through the physical gear he uses day to day, and what stands out is not the devices themselves but the mindset behind picking them. That is the part no product ships with.

AI

Meta Muse is a free AI assistant built to do things rather than reply to things. The walkthrough covers researching restaurants and checking real reservation availability, connecting Gmail and Google Calendar, drafting a reply around open time slots, and scheduling a recurring task that only reports back when a threshold is crossed. The closing point is the one to pay attention to. Once you connect your apps, it can act on your behalf, which makes the permissions you grant worth reading carefully.
