Microsoft Teams just rolled out a new feature that automatically keeps your post-meeting chatter out of the way. A dedicated "Muted" section now appears in your chat list, and any meeting chat you mute drops right into it, out of sight until you need it. To enable or disable it, head to the three-dot menu in your chat list, select Customize List, and look for "Show muted items in their own section" under Chats and Channels. One thing to know: it only works for meeting chats, not direct messages or regular group chats. Watch the video to see exactly how it works and how to set it up in about 30 seconds.

Hackers recently exploited Meta's own AI chatbot to take over high-profile Instagram accounts, including the official Sephora account and accounts tied to Space Force executives. The attack did not require any technical skill on the hackers' part. They simply contacted Meta's customer support chatbot and convinced it to hand over password reset information, and the AI complied. Meta has since patched the vulnerability and is working to restore the affected accounts. The bigger concern here is that users have no control over how companies integrate AI into their support systems, and that gap can create real security risks. Microsoft gave a small group of journalists an early look at Project Solara, a new platform built around dedicated AI devices for the workplace. The two concepts shown were a wearable badge for frontline workers and a desktop companion that sits alongside your existing PC. The badge is aimed at employees who spend their day away from a desk, such as nurses, retail workers, and field technicians, while the desktop device connects to Windows 365 and gives you quick AI access without constantly switching browser tabs or apps. These are still concept devices, not products you can buy, but Microsoft is building the platform now and inviting other hardware makers to build on top of it.
