  • Record your screen with audio using the free Snipping Tool in Windows 11.
  • Social media companies like Meta tried to use your likeness without your consent.
  • Google Flow's nine overlooked features can level up your AI video workflow.

Microsoft

Need to record your screen with audio and would rather not pay for extra software? Windows 11 already does it, and the tool is one most people only use for screenshots: the Snipping Tool. Chris Menard shows how to capture a full window, switch on your microphone (the step almost everyone forgets), then trim and save the clip. He also covers the one thing it will not record and when to reach for Teams or Zoom instead. Watch to see how fast it is.

Meta has rolled out a tool called Muse Image that lets strangers use photos from public Instagram accounts to generate AI content, often without the account owner ever knowing. The good news? You can shut it off. This tip walks through the exact settings path to opt out, and why having a private account changes the risk entirely. If your team or your family is on Instagram, this one is worth two minutes. As of this writing, Meta has turned off the Muse Image feature. Still, this is a reminder that social media companies often default to using your content in ways you might not expect, and getting more privacy usually means digging through settings most people never see. Be thoughtful about what you post publicly.

AI

Speaking of AI and your likeness, Google Flow takes the opposite approach from Meta. Instead of using your photos without asking, Google lets you create an AI avatar of yourself through a guided setup where you scan your face and record your voice, entirely on your terms. That avatar feature is just one of nine things most people miss in Google Flow. In this walkthrough, Kevin covers the rest, from keeping characters consistent across scenes to generating extra camera angles from a single shot and mapping out a whole video in Storyboard Studio before you generate anything. If AI video is anywhere on your radar, these are the ones worth knowing. Watch the full breakdown.
