Microsoft

New Outlook just picked up the improvement PST users have been asking about for years. Move to PST shifts items out of your mailbox as part of the export itself, so you are no longer going back afterward to delete the originals by hand. The video shows where the option lives, what actually happens to your items once the export finishes, and a category trick for keeping track of everything that lands in Deleted Items. It also covers the decision most people get wrong, when to use Move versus Copy, because archiving a closed project and backing up compliance data call for very different approaches.

Most people nod along when encryption comes up, then struggle to explain what is actually happening. This video covers what encryption is and how the two main approaches, symmetric and asymmetric, differ. The part worth staying for is who holds the keys, because that determines whether your provider, or anyone who breaches your provider, can read your data.

AI

OpenAI released two new image models, and picking between them comes down to what you are optimizing for. Sunburst is built for precision and holds detail across multiple rounds of edits, while Flare is the faster everyday option with higher quality than the previous generation. Both handle transparent backgrounds, which matters for infographics and product assets. They are available now in ChatGPT, Codex, and the API.
